Connecting a tool with your own key

Plug in an outside tool, like maps, text messages, or Slack, by pasting its key in one safe place.

Sometimes you want to connect a tool you already use, like a mapping service, a text-message provider, Slack, or your own OpenAI account. Most of these give you a secret key that unlocks access. You add that key once, in a safe place, and your app can use the tool.

What a key is

A key is a long private password from the other service. It should never be typed into a chat message or shown on a page. AyoSpeed IDE stores it securely for you and only ever shows the last few characters so you know it is saved.

How to add one

  1. 1

Get the key from the other service

Sign in to that tool and copy the key it gives you, often called an API key.

  2. 2

    Open Connect a service

Inside your project, click the Connect a service button (the plug icon) in the top toolbar.

  3. 3

Choose the tool and paste your key

Pick the service you want, such as OpenAI, Slack, text messages, maps, or a webhook, then paste your key into its form and save.

  4. 4

    Tell AyoWizzy what to connect

Describe what you want the tool to do, and your app will use the key you saved.

Add keys only through Connect a service. Never paste a key into a chat message, as that is not a safe place for private information.
